The vines at Acme Vineyards are over 80 years old and are known through out the world as the oldest Ancient Grenache Vines in the world. This vineyard was planted by a Father and son team. They produced famous wines known through out the world.
Acme Vineyards are planted to Grenache or Grenacha grapes some of the most widely planted grapes in the world. Spain is the home of the Grenacha grape varietal. The spelling changed when the wines were produced from France. Gre grapes all over France, the United States, Australia, Greece and many other locations. The grapes are semi sweet and the wines are often extremely dry. The wines in Spain are the driest and contain the least amount of residual sugar.
Grenache grapes are red grapes with white flesh. This varietal is mostly produce as a red wine but can also be produced as a white wine.
